Introduction

Flowing is simply the specialized process of taking notes in a debate. 

If you want to do well in debate, it is critical that you learn how to flow.

Flowing relies on note taking but it is different from note taking in that instead of writing one note after the other in a vertical manner you are going to take notes so that you can trace the flow of the arguments across the page.
